3.2.3 Suction tube
For all of the ASSKEA secretion aspirators M- and S-series you can connect the suction tube
with the aspiration catheter using a fingertip.
3.3 Operation of the ASSKEA secretion aspirators S-series
3.3.1 Setting the vacuum
1. Set the power switch (fig. 1(F)) to ‘I’.
2. Keep the opening of the suction tube
(fig. 19) and the fingertip (fig. 20) shut.
3. Turn the vacuum regulator (fig. 1(E))
until the vacuum meter (fig. 1(D)) dis-
plays the desired vacuum. Please note
that higher vacuum values are set by
turning the vacuum regulator clockwise
and that the indicator of the manometer
moves counter clockwise at the same
time.
4. You can also perform fine adjustments
to the set vacuum via the additional air
opening on the fingertip.

3.3.2 Aspiration
1. Perform the aspiration procedure as you
were instructed by specialized personnel.
2. Control the aspiration procedure and the
desired vacuum using the additional air
opening on the fingertip (fig. 20).
3. Shut down the device after the aspiration
procedure according to section 3.6.
Please note that the pump can not be
started beyond an existing vacuum of
-0.5 bar when switching the deivce on
again.
Please note that the ASSKEA secre-
tion aspirators S-series are designed
for short-term operation (20 minutes)!

Always take note of additional im-
portant instructions in section 2.3.3
regarding handling of the ASSKEA
double filter system!
