4.2.4 Hygienic cleaning of the connecting
tube
1. Applies only to the ASSKEA reusable se-
cretion canister system: Remove the ex-
ternal bacterial filter and dispose it of in
a proper manner (see section 6.3) prior to
cleaning the connecting tube.
2. Rinse the connecting tube with clear water
and place it in a water bath at 65 °C for 15
minutes once a day.
3. Then rinse the connecting tube thoroughly
with clear water and let it dry.
ASSKEA GmbH recommends replacing the
connecting tube no less than every 4 weeks.
4.2.5 Hygienic cleaning of the external can-
ister ‘Bag’
Rinse the external canister ‘Bag‘ under run-
ning water and let it dry.
It is also possible to place the external can-
ister “Bag” into a water bath at 65 °C for 15
minutes for hygienic cleaning.
ASSKEA GmbH recommends replacing the
external canister ‘Bag‘ after 30 hygienic
cleanings or in the case of visible damage or
functional restrictions.
4.2.6 Hygienic cleaning of the suction tube
1. Dispose of the suction tube in a proper
manner prior to each new patient!
2. If used for one patient only, rinse the suc-
tion tube with clear water (max. 0.5 l) us-
ing the rinsing bottle after each aspiration
procedure and place it into a water bath at
65 °C for 15 minutes once a day.
3. Then rinse the suction tube thoroughly
with clear water and let it dry.
ASSKEA GmbH recommends replacing the
suction tube for each new patient and no less
than every 4 weeks, even if used for one pa-
tient only, since the material can become dis-
colored and brittle due to frequent use.
4.2.7 Hygienic cleaning of the rinsing bottle
1. Remove the lid of the rinsing bottle and
rinse both parts under running water.
2. Let the components dry.
3. Place the lid back on the rinsing bottle.
It is also possible to place the rinsing bottle
and the lid into a water bath at 65 °C for 15
minutes for hygienic cleaning.

rinsing bottle after 30 hygienic cleanings or
in the case of visible damage or functional
restrictions.
4.3 Reuse of the device
The ASSKEA secretion aspirators M- and
S-series are suitable for reuse. However, pri-
or to passing the device on to other patients
or persons, it must be processed profession-
ally. Please send the ASSKEA secretion aspi-
rator M- and S-series to ASSKEA GmbH or
to qualified personnel authorized by ASSKEA
GmbH. Follow the instructions in section 6.1!

in section 5 and contact the service, if
