5.6.2 Defining a Plate

To define a plate type:

Click Lamp On, if necessary.

Set the Gain to zero to turn off the photomultiplier tube.

Select Define Plate from the Plate menu.

The Defined Plates screen appears (Figure 5-7). The
name and coordinates of the plate type used during the
last scan are displayed.
