MP168 Matrix Switcher/Control System
VIDEO OUTPUT MODULE
The Video Output Module also has six BNC connectors
labeled IN. These connectors are used in situations
where a dedicated video input signal is being routed
directly to a dedicated monitor. When these dedicated
video signals pass through the VOM module, the
MP168 adds the title information and the system time
and date to the signal for display on the output monitor.
MP168 Video Output Modules (VOMs) function as
video output drivers for the MP168 Bay. A VOM
module provides a text overlay for video signals
switched by the VIM modules. The video output
signals are routed to monitors and VCRs through one of
six OUT BNC connectors (see Figure 1-10D).
During the switching process, an internal character
generator in the VOM automatically inserts the
appropriate title information onto the video signal.
Title information includes the date, time, input camera
number (real and pseudo), output monitor status, alarm
title, and a 16 character user-programmable camera or
preset title.
Video input signals routed through the IN connectors of
the VOM module are not available for MP168
switching functions; the video is simply routed through
the bay.
Each Video Output Module has six BNC connectors
labeled OUT. These OUT connectors are used for
routing video signals directly from the bay to a monitor
with the title information inserted.
