Verification of Equipment and
Unpacking
At the time that the MP168 Matrix Switcher/Controller
System is delivered, verify that all items listed on the
bill of lading have arrived and that the shipment is
complete. Verify that the system configuration is the
correct one for the particular installation site.
Also, inspect the boxes and packing of each container
to ensure that there has been no damage to the
equipment during shipment. If damage is found, notify
the shipping agency immediately and contact your
American Dynamics sales representative.
Unpack the system in a secure location and lay out the
individual components in an orderly fashion.
Remove Module Retainer
The MP168 Bay is shipped with a retainer bar placed
across the rear modules to hold them in place during

1. Remove the three retainer thumb screws affixed to
the upper rear of the Bay.
2. Store the retainer bar in the original packaging in
case the bay is to be moved to another location or
returned to the factory.

More complex connections are required when adding
optional peripheral devices to the Switcher. For this,
the manual is supplemented with a series of detailed
typical connections diagrams for the most common
