INSTALLATION
RS-422 Connections
An RS-422 port is provided for connecting SEC
SpeedDome™ series surveillance units to the MP168
system (see Figures 2-6A and 2-6B). SpeedDome units
may be connected in a “daisy chain” configuration, or
to Sensormatic RS-422 junction boxes (J-boxes). Ten
SpeedDome units may be connected to one J-box and
ten J-boxes may be connected together with a
maximum distance of 915 meters (3000 feet) between
the last unit in the chain and the Control Code Module.
NOTE: RS-422 Control Code lines must be 22-
AWG, two 2-wire twisted and shielded
pairs.
