Primary Power Connections
The AC input line cord should only be connected to the
port on the Power Supply Module after all other system
modules have been connected to their respective
devices.
Redundant Power Supply
The Power Supply Module is equipped to accommodate
the addition of a redundant power supply to prevent
system downtime.
American Dynamics does not provide a redundant
power supply for use with the MP168
Switcher/Controller System. Any redundant power
supply that the user chooses MUST BE listed by
Underwriters Laboratories and be in compliance with
UL Standard 1950, Standard for Safety – Information
Technology Equipment, Including Electrical Business
Equipment. Redundant power supplies must meet the
specification defined in Table 2-2.

The line sync signal illustrated in Figure 2-2A insures
synchronization of system switching functions. We
recommend that the redundant power supply selected
by the user provide such a signal.
