DESCRIPTION
MP168 Matrix Switcher/Control System
Video Input Modules 2 and 3
The use of cabled pairs in a dual bay configuration does
not increase the number of video inputs, but does
provide expanded video output capabilities.
MP168 Video Input Modules 2 and 3 (VIM-2 and
VIM-3) each have six BNC connectors and one 34-pin
connector (see Figure 1-8B). These two modules are
designed specifically for use in dual-bay configurations
and work in tandem to distribute video to the additional
monitors that the configuration allows. A Coaxial
ribbon cable joins each VIM-2 and -3 module to form a
“cabled pair” to loop video input signals between the
IN and OUT terminals of two bays (see Figure 1-8A).

NOTE:
It is necessary that each VIM-3 module in the
second bay reside in the identical slot as its VIM-2
partner in the first bay.
