MP168 Video Switcher/Controller System
PC Connection
A PC can be connected to the MP168 switching system
through any of the eight RS-232 ports (labeled 1
through 8). The number 8 RS-232 port on the Central
Processing Module is the default port for a PC
connection (see Figure 2-17). The PC is connected
between the COM1 or COM2 serial port located on the
computer modem and the RJ-45 jack labeled 8 on the
Central Processing Module.
NOTES: The maximum distance between the MP168
Switcher and a Personal Computer should not
exceed 50 feet without the use of a separate
line driver or a short haul modem.
