Switching the printing system on/off
Use the power supply switch to switch the printing system on or off.
5.2
Overview of operating and configuration possibilities
The easiest way for operation and configuration of the printing system is to use the
a:control
software. The software
can be installed on a computer or laptop. Alternatively, there is the possibility of using the specially developed control
panel for the thermal transfer printer.
Please refer to the supplied manual for an overview and description of the various operating and configuration possibil-
ities with the
a:control
software.

Loading / changing the ribbon
CAUTION
Personal injury!
An unlocked cassette can fall out and cause injury.
▪
After cassette is fully engaged and locked onto engine, make sure it is properly secured by pulling
cassette away from engine without touching lock button.
ATTENTION
Equipment damage
Do not rest cassette in standing position using alignment pins as stabilizer after removal. Doing so can
bend and/or scratch the alignment pins.
▪
It is advisable to rest the cassette on handles when disconnected from printer engine.
ATTENTION
Equipment damage
Exercise caution when removing or replacing cassette.
▪
Engage alignment pins
BEFORE
moving cassette towards engine.
▪
Keep cassette plate parallel to engine body during process.
ATTENTION
Equipment damage
Even slight contact to metal parts of engine can cause damage to ribbon resulting in ribbon breakage and
work stoppage.
▪
Do not allow ribbon to contact metal parts of engine.
