8. Operation
8.1 Trigger Switch (10) (See Fig. B)
Press in the trigger switch (10) to start the drill / driver. Fully release
pressure from the trigger switch (10) to stop the drill / driver.
The trigger switch (10) is fitted with a brake function which stops your
chuck immediately when you quickly release the trigger switch (10).
It is also a variable speed switch that delivers higher speed and
torque with increased trigger pressure. Speed is controlled by the
amount of pressure on the trigger switch (10).
WARNING: Do not operate for long periods at low speed
as excess heat can be produced internally.
NOTE:
The variable speed control fitted to this drill/driver is not
intended to be used for long periods of time during the operation
of the task being performed. Use the variable speed to start drill/
driving and screwing tasks, and then fully depress the trigger once
the task has started.
8.2 Switch Lock (See Fig. C)
The trigger switch (10) can also be locked into an OFF position with
the use of the forward/reverse rotational control (4). This helps to
reduce the possibility of accidental starting when not in use. To lock
the trigger switch (10), push the forward/reverse rotating control
(4) into the center position. In this position, the trigger switch (10)
cannot be activated.
