Some external terminal adapters are configurable. In this case, you will need to ensure that they
have these parameters:

2.2.6. COM connector.
In IP mode, allows you to connect an external equipment (a PC, for instance) in order to
transmit and receive auxiliary data in a transparent way. An ancillary data channel at 9600,
19200 or 38400 bauds is supported that is transmitted over IP, independently of the audio
stream. Only one auxiliary data stream can be used, so it has to be assigned to one of both
codec channels.
In ISDN mode, a data channel at 9600 bps is supported in some MPEG-2 encoding modes.
Data transmission is performed according to RS232 protocol on a DB9 female connector. A
male-female cable must be used to connect the codec to a PC.

Note that hardware flow control must be disabled at the PC

PHOENIX STRATOS is equipped with an Ethernet port. Using this Ethernet port will enable you
to connect the unit via IP to a LAN or WAN network and send audio over it. This port is also
used to configure and manage the unit from one or several PCs using the remote control
software.
