SQUEEGEE LIFT SYSTEM
The squeegee is raised and lowered by a hydraulic cylinder. Solenoid valves control the flow of hydraulic oil to
the cylinder. The solenoid valves are controlled by the squeegee up/down switch (on the dashboard), the up
and down limit switches (in the engine compartment, next to the cylinder) and the reverse switch (located next
to the lever on the side of the propulsion pump).
The limit switches stop the squeegee lift cylinder when the squeegee reaches the proper up or down position.
The reverse switch makes the cylinder lift the squeegee whenever the drive pedal is moved into reverse. This
prevents the blades from being pulled out of the tool.
The reverse switch also controls the back-up alarm.

DOWN LIMIT SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
The squeegee lift linkage is designed to over-travel when the squeegee is on the floor, allowing the squeegee
to float freely up or down. This enables the squeegee to pick up water on uneven floors. To check and adjust
the down limit switch...
1
Start the engine, lower the squeegee, stop the engine and remove the squeegee from the machine.
2
Make sure that both squeegee mount caster wheels are on the floor. Then look at the squeegee lift
linkage under the back of the machine and measure the distance (“C” on Figure 11) between the top of
sleeve “B” and the bottom of squeegee lift bar “A”. This distance should measure between 1 inch (25
mm) and 1-1/2 inch (37 mm).
3
If your measurement is greater than 1-1/2 inch (37 mm), move the down limit switch (the one on your
right) to the left. Moving the switch 1/4 inch to the left will decrease “C” by 1/2 inch. If your measurement
is less than 1 inch (25 mm) move the down limit switch to the right.
4
With the squeegee in the down position, make sure that bracket “D” pushes the switch lever to the off
position. Also push bracket “D” forward and backward to make sure that the switch does not click on and
off. If the switch clicks, loosen its mounting screws and move the switch closer to bracket “D”.
