GENERAL INFORMATION
The vacuum system lifts water and dirt off the floor and into the recovery tank. The main parts of the vacuum
system are shown in Figure 1.
In order for the vacuum system to operate properly, all the air moved by the vacuum (upper) impeller must
enter the system through the squeegee. If air leaks into the system through a hole in a hose or a torn gasket,
the amount of air entering at the squeegee will be reduced.
A build-up of dirt or “restriction” in the vacuum system will also decrease the amount of air flowing into the
squeegee. The most common place to find a restriction is the area where the squeegee hose connects to the
squeegee tool.
