SCRUB BRUSH MOTOR REMOVAL
1
Start the engine, put the squeegee switch in the down position and remove the squeegee from the
machine.
2
Put the scrub brush switch in the OFF position and remove the (4) scrub brushes.
3
Put the scrub brush switch in the ON position (to lower the brush drive assembly) and turn the ignition
switch OFF.
4
Loosen the 2 “A” nuts, turn nut “B” counterclockwise and push the motor downward to release tension on
the drive belt (see Figure 1).
5
Remove the (3) “F” bolts from the motor pulley and screw them into the threaded holes in the pulley.
Alternate tightening the 3 bolts to remove the pulley from the motor shaft.
6
Remove the lower-right body panel (just behind the broom door) from the machine and cut the plastic tie
straps holding the brush motor hoses in place.
7
Remove the (2) “A” nuts and work the motor (with hoses still connected) out the right side of the machine.
8
Disconnect the hoses from the motor, service or replace the motor.
Follow steps in reverse order to re-assemble. After tightening the “F” bolts, check the alignment between the
motor pulley and the gear box pulley with a straight edge. If necessary, loosen the set screws in the gear box
pulley and move it left or right to align it with the motor pulley.
