Licenses
Most host applications (such as FileSafe Express) provide their own
mechanisms for adding, changing, or removing a license. However, for
some host applications, you must use SAN Disk Manager to change or
remove the license. (You are prompted to add the license during
installation.) You must also use SAN Disk Manager to license its own
advanced options.
For host applications that require license activation (including FileSafe
Express), you can also use SAN Disk Manager to perform either online
or offline activation. (For more information, refer to “Activating a
license” on page 227.)
When you click Licenses in the navigation tree, the right pane displays
a list of all licensed host applications that use IMA. If you licensed the
advanced options of SAN Disk Manager, SAN Disk Manager Advanced
Options also appears in the right pane.
Note: Some licenses can be used with multiple host applications.
For this type of license, all the associated applications appear in
the right pane. Changing or removing the license for one affects
all the associated applications as well.
For each listed application, the right pane displays the following
information:
•
Name of the application
•
License type (Standard, Live Trial, or Not for Resale)
•
Kind of environment the license is intended for (Data Center,
Enterprise, Server, Desktop, or Unknown)
•
Whether or not the license is currently activated
•
Current key code associated with the license
