3. Once the boot sequence is interrupted, it will display menu
options.Use the "H" option to set hardware information by typing
the character H.
This will display the hardware information that can be changed.
4. Configure the IP address for this switch (only for booting purposes)
using the command:
ip=<IP address>
For example
ip=192.168.2.3
5. Configure the subnet mask for this switch IP address using the
below command:
mask=<subnet mask>
For example
mask=255.255.255.0
6. Configure the TFTP server IP address using the below command:
tftpaddr=<TFTP server IP>
For example
tftpaddr=192.168.2.100
7. Configure the gateway address to reach the TFTP server using the
below command if the TFTP server is in different network:
gateway=<gateway IP>
For example
gateway=192.168.2.100
8. Configure the firmware image file name using the below
command:
ramdiskname=<filename>
For example
ramdiskname= SBM-GEM-X2C-v5.2.10.bin
9. Type
Save
to save the hardware information.
10. Type
Exit
to exit the hardware information menu.
11. Type F to download the firmware image. In this case it will
download to the normal image area.
12. On a successful download, the switch displays the below string.
Updating the ramdisk image ...
This may take awhile
OK
13. After a successful download, boot the switch to use this latest
firmware by typing J.
