CE marking
A CE mark is attached to the drive to verify that the unit follows the provisions of the
European Low Voltage and EMC Directives (Directive 2006/95/EC and Directive
2004/108/EC).
Compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive
The compliance with the European Low Voltage Directive has been verified according to
standards EN 61800-5-1 and EN 60204-1.
Compliance with the European EMC Directive
The EMC Directive defines the requirements for immunity and emissions of electrical
equipment used within the European Union.
The EMC product standard (EN 61800-3:2004) covers requirements stated for drives. See
section
Compliance with EN 61800-3:2004
below.
Compliance with the European Machinery Directive
The drive is a machinery component that can be integrated into a wide range of machinery
categories as specified in European Commission’s
Guide to application of the Machinery
Directive 2006/42/EC 2nd Edition – June 2010.

ompatibility. It is the ability of electrical/electronic
equipment to operate without problems within an electromagnetic environment. Likewise,
the equipment must not disturb or interfere with any other product or system within its
locality.
First environment
includes establishments connected to a low-voltage network which
supplies buildings used for domestic purposes.
Second environment
includes establishments connected to a network not supplying
domestic premises.
Drive of category C3:
drive of rated voltage less than 1000 V and intended for use in the
second environment and not intended for use in the first environment.
Drive of category C4:
drive of rated voltage equal to or above 1000 V, or rated current
equal to or above 400 A, or intended for use in complex systems in the second
environment.
