112   Maintenance

Fans

The actual lifespan depends on the running time of the fan, ambient temperature and dust 
concentration. See the 

Firmware manual

 for the actual signal which indicates the running 

time of the cooling fan. For resetting the running time signal after a fan replacement, 
please contact ABB.

Replacement fans are available from ABB. Do not use other than ABB specified spare 
parts.

Replacing the circuit board compartment cooling fan

. Ignoring the 

instructions can cause physical injury or death, or damage to the 
equipment.

1. Remove the drive module out of the cabinet as described in section 

Replacing the 

drive module

 on page 

114

.

2. Undo the fastening screw of the fan enclosure.

3. Unplug the power supply cable of the fan.

4. Install the new fan in reverse order to the above.
