Directly connecting the storage medium to a computer

Cause
Remedy
The recording does not stop
The storage medium was removed/
re-inserted when the camcorder was
powered up.
Power down and up the
camcorder.
Hard disk
Symptoms
Cause
Remedy
The hard disk falls out
Put a piece of tape over
the hard disk bay and the
enclosure surrounding it.
There is no Stereoscopic
Player Metafile
This occurs when power is lost during
recording.
Start stereoscopic player
and point it manually to the
AVIs for the left and right
eye and the audio track.
Network
Symptoms
Cause
Remedy
No network connection can
be established
Cable not connected
Check the network
connection on both sides
Cable broken
Check that the network
cable is fully functional.
DHCP problems
In DHCP server mode, check
that the receiving computer
can obtain an IP address
automatically
In DHCP client mode, check
that your DHCP server is
operational.
The ‘videos’ share on
the camera can not be
accessed
No network connection is established.
Establish a network
connection (see REF).
A firewall is blocking the traffic
Check that the camera can
send an receive:
UDP packets on port 137
UDP packets on port 138
TCP packets on port 139
TCP packets on port 445
The network connection is
slow
The network cable is not able to
handle 1000 Mb/s.
Check that you are using a
CAT5e or CAT6 type cable.
