Connecting
external monitors
Use the HDMI connectors to connect
-
external monitors
-
HD/SDI converters
-
external recording equipment
To enable the HDMI output you have to
activate HDMI on the TOUCHSCREEN.
Normally the camcorder frequency
doubles the set frame rate on the HDMI
port (e.g. at 1080p25 the output is set to
50 Hz). In that mode the TOUCHSCREEN
shows ‘HDMI freq. double’. Professional
HDMI equipment requires the nominal
frequency, which can be activated on
the TOUCHSCREEN by setting ‘HDMI freq
normal’.
NOTE
The viewfinders will show no picture if the
HDMI output is enabled.
Connecting
external audio
sources
Use the XLR connectors to connect
external audio sources such as
microphones.
Set the gain using the GAIN
potentiometers.
If necessary, the camcorder can supply
+48V to the microphone. Ac48V
by pressing the corresponding button.
CAUTION
Sup48V to equipment that is
not foreseen to handle phantom power
might permanently damage that
equipment.
Use the PAD putton to bypass the
internal amplifier.
