Symptoms
Cause
Remedy
The TOUCHSCREEN
permantenly shows ‘CP31
starting, please wait’ and the
rear REC LED is permantenly
lit
The internal memory is damaged
Return the camcorder for
inspection.
The touch panel is black
Verify that the camera is on
(blue light in power button).
Touch the panel to turn it on.
The camcorder becomes
too warm
The bottom cooling area of the
camcorder is blocked
The rec button remains red
after power on
The camera has a hardware
malfunctioning.
Turn the camera off and
on until the red light goes
off within a second after
power on. If this does not
occur after 10 times, turn
the camera off and let it rest
for 10 minutes and try again
max 10 times. If this does not
help, return the camera for
repair.
The battery falls out
Put a piece of tape over
the bottom of the battery
and the enclosure so that
the battery cannot slide
sideways anymore.
Viewfinder
Symptoms
Cause
Remedy
The VIEWFINDER is black
The external HDMI outputs are turned
on.
Turn the external HDMI
outputs off using the
TOUCHSCREEN menu.
The aspect ratio of the image
in the VIEWFINDER is wrong
During power up this happens if the
HDMI output was previously set to ON.
This will disappear once the
camcorder has completed
the power up process
The camcorder is operated in 1080P30
mode
In 1080P30 mode this is
currently a feature.
The image in the displays
looks odd
Turn off HDMI on the touch
panel.
There is no zebra despite
bright areas in the displays
Turn on zebra on the touch
panel.
No OSD is displayed in the
viewfinder
The OSD is switched off
Switch on HDMI OSD on the
TOUCHSCREEN.
