PAIR THE RECORDER TO THE TABLET
On the Recorder - A flashing green light will appear below the Play/
Pause button
On the Tablet – The first icon on the top row will light up green
If the Recorder has not yet been paired to the Tablet, you will need to
complete this step now.

Press and release the Pair Button on the Recorder. When
pairing is complete, you will see the following indicators:
If there is a problem with the pairing, a flashing red light will appear below
the Play/Pause button. The Tablet and Recorder will need to be re-paired (see
Appendix 1: Re-Pairing a Tablet and Recorder
).
CHARGING THE RECORDER
If the battery on the Recorder requires charging, you will be instructed
to plug the Recorder into power. To see the current charge of the battery
press the Recorder icon.
Press Next to continue.
LEDS AND SOUND TEST
Note
The Recorder must be paired with the Tablet prior to performing this test. Follow
the on-screen instructions for pairing. Once pairing is complete, you will be able
to begin the Functional Check.

If the sound is not properly adjusted, the patient may not hear the study alert
and the system will remain paused. The study may have to be repea
ted.
Press the Test button.
Confirm that both LEDs on the Recorder flash and the speaker on
the Tablet is sounding.
If all indicators are functioning, press Yes; otherwise press No.
