Caution
Before cleaning the Effort Belt, carefully read the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions supplied.
Before cleaning the Pulse Oximeter, carefully read the Masimo cleaning instructions supplied.
Note
The reusable components (i.e. Recorder, Tablet and Tablet Cover, Power Adaptors, Effort Belt, Pulse Oximeter, and MP) are
supplied nonsterile and require cleaning and a low-level disinfection before patient use.
Handle all components of the device with care throughout the cleaning and disinfection procedures. Inspect the
components following reprocessing to ensure no damage has occurred.
The MATRx plus System should be cleaned and disinfected prior to installation and as soon as possible following patient
use.

To prepare for the cleaning and disinfection procedure, perform the following:

Accelerated hydrogen peroxide (AHP) spray bottle and wipes
Note
Optim 1 and Oxivier 1 (Optim 33TB and Accel Intervention in Canada) are the recommended cleaner and
disinfectant
Tap water
Lint-free cloths
Soft toothbrush
Clean gloves

Put on the gloves.
Gather the MATRx plus System requiring cleaning and disinfection.
Disconnect the reusable sensors (i.e. Effort Belt, Pulse Oximeter).
Note
Clean and disinfect the Effort Belt and Pulse Oximeter according to the manufacturer’s recommended procedure.
Disconnect and discard all disposable sensors and components (i.e. Nasal Cannula, Titration Trays, Titration
Tray Storage Bag, Tray Attachment Pins).
Note
Before disconnecting the Titration Trays from the MP, remember to remove the Tray Attachment Pins.
