Connecting the Sensors to the Recorder
Warning
The Nasal Cannula, Titration Trays, Titration Tray Storage Bag and Tray Attachment Pins should be discarded after
single patient use.
Caution
Do not blow into the Nasal Cannula connection as this airflow could cause damage.
This section will review how to set-up the MATRx plus sensors for a Functional Check or a patient study.
CONNECTING THE EFFORT BELT

Position the belt around the abdomen, just above the navel.
Ensure the belt is snug. If the belt is too loose, tighten it by spinning
the buckle around so that the two clips are at the sides. Lift the
fastener on one side and pull the clips away from each other to
tighten then close the fastener to secure the belt. Move the buckle
around to the front again.
Snap the two blue cable connectors of the Sensor Cable to the
buttons on either side of the buckle.
Insert the other end of the Sensor Cable into the Recorder’s Effort
Belt port.
The Effort Belt icon on the Tablet should turn green to indicate a
proper connection.
Rotate the belt to one side so the buckle is out of the way, and clip
the Recorder to the belt, just over the navel.

Cable to the Recorder
The Effort Belt should be worn over night clothes and should
not move when in place. It should be pre-sized to ensure a
comfortable and snug fit.

Insert the soft prongs into the nostrils with the curve pointing
down.
Thread the Nasal Cannula over and behind the ears.
Tighten the Nasal Cannula with the fastener by sliding it up and
toward the chin. Make sure it is comfortable and secure.
