5 Commissioning and First Operating Steps | 5.2 Switching On the Microscope System

3. Set the

MAIN

switch to the

position.

4. If the internal Emergency Off (EMO) option is

installed, press the green

button to confirm

the setting of the

MAIN

switch.

5. If the external Emergency Off (EMO) option is installed, press the green

START button to

reset the EMO circuit and to be able to switch on the microscope again.

5.2.2 Starting the Microscope

Info

If the system was powered off for a longer time period, the ion getter pump might fail to start.
In this case, bake-out the gun head (supervisor user rights required) or contact your local ser-
vice center. Refer to
