Measuring Temperatures with the Collector Function
This section explains the procedure for measuring temperatures with the collector function.

[TIP]

This screen which indicates the current
time is referred to as the “Home” screen.
Each function in the main unit is accessed
from this screen.
•
The [0] key is also used for switching the
unit of temperature display. If, for example,
this [0] key is pressed in the Home screen,
the unit is switched to “
°
F”. Another press-
ing of the same key will restore the unit to
“
°
C”.

Press the [LOGGING] key when the
LOG
mark is displayed in the upper left cor-
ner of the screen.
The
LOG
mark is turned off and the
collector mode is entered.

If the “A” or “D” input channel is to be
used, connect the probe to the appro-
priate jack.
NOTE
Only connect a probe to input channel
“A” if the Home screen is on. If the
probe is connected to the channel after
a tag has been selected, this instrument
may start having data logged into it the
moment the connection is made.

tag to be selected is displayed on the
screen.
The tag name currently set will be displayed.

If the operator name needs to be modi-
fied, press the [1] numeric key. If not,
proceed to step 7.
[TIP]
If the operator name is not modified at this point,
the operator name assigned the registration number
“1” will automatically be set. Therefore, the factory-
setting operator name must be modified if an op-
erator other than that which is assigned the registra-
tion number “1” performs the measurement task.
