PROCEDURE

Cut out the injection of the related cylinder.

NOTE:

If possible, the exhaust valve must always operate.

For an engine with direct controlled injection valves, disconnect the electrical connection
from the injection valve.

For an engine with conventional injection valves, disconnect the electrical connection from
the injection control unit (ICU).

If it is necessary to operate the engine with the injection cut out for an extended period, do
as follows:

4.1

Record the settings of the cylinder oil feed rate.

4.2

Decrease the cylinder oil feed rate for the related cylinder to the minimum setting.

Repair the fault as soon as possible, refer to the Maintenance Manual.
