Computer TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

PROBLEM

CAUSE

CORRECTIVE ACTION

No video from the computer

Monitor cable is defective or not
connected properly.

Verify the connections or replace faulty
cable.

Interchange the two cables at the
monitor (if there are 2 monitors) to see if
the problem follows the cable.

Switch the monitor cables at the
Computer outputs to see if the problem
is at the outputs. If it is an output, this
could be a faulty video card. If the video
card is faulty the Computer must be
replaced.
