1. Check that the 15-pin connector at the Keypad Control Box is securely in place.

2. Use the DIOX application to verify the Interlock functionality. See

3.2 Check for Digital Inputs

Outputs using DIOX

Or check the Keypad for error messages. See

3.3 Control Box Access - Technician.

3. Test for resistance at each interlock switch using a multimeter.

Push the interlock shaft in and check for resistance across the pins. There are 3 pins and
there should be resistance across any 2 of the pins.

There should be a reading greater than zero (0).

4. Gently pull out all the shafts of the Interlock switches to lock the switch closed.

5. Verify if the Interlock Message disappears from the Operator message area.

If the message does not disappear, one of the Interlock Switches may be faulty and must be
replaced.

5.3 Emergency Shut Off

The emergency stop button stops the X-ray source  and the motor immediately  and
removes  all  VAC  power.  The  computer,  one  monitor,  and  all  the  12VDC
(input/output)  components  remain  powered  by  the  UPS  until  the  emergency  stop
button is released by turning it clockwise until it pops out.

The UPS produces an audible “beep” to indicate that the main power source has been lost.
