Computer TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

PROBLEM

CAUSE

CORRECTIVE ACTION

No power.

Check for power on the monitor

– Green

LED illuminated.

Check the monitor VGA and USB
cables.

Contrast/intensity settings off.

Check the intensity and contrast
adjustments on the monitor. Adjust the
intensity of the monitor using the
monitor’s adjustment tool.

No image on the Monitor

No Power to monitor.

Check the power indicator light at the
monitor and check the monitor cables.

Check the monitor USB cable at the
Computer for the touch screen
functionality.

Check the monitor VGA cable at the
Computer.

Touch functionality of the monitor
not working

The monitor cables may be loose or the
monitor functionality is hung up.

Check the power indicator light at the
monitor and check the monitor cables.

Check the monitor USB cable at the
Computer for the touch screen
functionality.

Reset the TouchScreen sensitivity using
the monitor diagnostic software.

Change the monitor.

Image not aligned
or
Camera not detected

Basic settings in the configuration file
are corrupt or missing correct hardware
settings.

Open the configuration file,

BioSans.cfg

, in a text editor (for

example, Notepad). Verify the following
settings.
