System Diagnostics

Caution: The system will re-boot immediately after you press Escape to exit the System Diagnostics

screen. You should only perform system diagnostics during down time.

In systems which contain a hot standby unit, turn the system that is not being tested OFF before
running system diagnostics. Refer to your hot standby instruction manual if necessary.

The NOVA V1400 features five system tests: video CPU, alarm CPU, time date titler CPU, serial ports and
setup memory. You must contact Vicon Technical Support if a failure occurs during or after testing; there are
no user-serviceable parts in NOVA V1400 CPUs.
