Alarm Monitor Number
All settings on this screen refer to the alarm monitor specified at the top of the screen. For independent stack
mode, the setting list will include all monitors which were enabled as alarm monitors, as discussed in
Enable
Alarm Monitors
on page 31. As discussed in the previous message screen, the alarm actions for all alarm
monitors will be the same as those set for the first alarm monitor (the setting will be fixed) for common stack
mode.
Settings:
01 to 32 (only enabled alarm monitors will be included if the stack mode is independent; if
the stack mode is common, the setting will be fixed as the first alarm monitor)
Keys:
Numeric keypad’s + (plus) key or - (minus) key
Alarm Order (Independent Stack Mode Only)
As discussed in
Monitor Stack Mode
on page 23, an alarm monitor stack is a list of active alarms. If the
monitor stack mode is independent stack, the order in which alarms are added to the stack must be specified
for each alarm monitor in the system. Refer to
Alarm Input Order (Common Stack Mode Only)
on page 28, if
the monitor stack mode is common stack. (If you are familiar with the alarm order procedure for common
stack mode, you may set the alarm order here for common stack mode, as the software will automatically
update the Alarm Input Order setting on page 28.)
Alarm order settings are FIFO and Priority. The term “FIFO” is an acronym for “first-in, first-out”, signifying that
the first alarm activated will be the first alarm displayed on the alarm monitor. A stack ordered by priority will
list alarms in the order of the priority level. As discussed in
Set Alarm Priority
on page 30, 128 priority levels
are available in the system.
Settings:
FIFO
Priority
Keys:
Numeric keypad’s + (plus) key or - (minus) key
Default:
FIFO
Sequence
Alarm monitors may be set to sequence multiple active alarm video or to display an alarm steadily until
acknowledged, in the order determined in
Alarm Input Order (Common Stack Only)
on page 28
or Alarm
Order (Independent Stack Only)
on page 33. Choose Enabled to sequence the video from multiple active
alarms on the alarm monitor specified at the top of the screen.
Settings:
Disabled
Enabled
Keys:
Numeric keypad’s + (plus) key or - (minus) key
Default:
Disabled
Dwell Time
As discussed in the previous section, alarm monitors may be set to sequence the video from multiple active
alarms. If sequencing is enabled, the dwell time must be set for the alarm monitor specified at the top of the
screen. The dwell time is the length of time that alarm video will display before being replaced by video from
the next alarm in the alarm monitor stack. The dwell time must be long enough to allow the pan-and-tilt drive
to move to the preset position and be viewed before the sequence proceeds to the next alarm.
Settings:
001 to 240 seconds
Keys:
Numeric keypad’s + (plus) key or - (minus) key to increment/decrement by 1 second
Shift and numeric keypad’s + (plus) or - (minus) key to inc/dec by 10 seconds
Auto Acknowledge
Alarms may be acknowledged manually or automatically. If Auto Acknowledge is Enabled, an alarm will
display until the acknowledge time passes, then the alarm will be automatically acknowledged by the system.
The acknowledge time is discussed in the following section. Manual acknowledgment by a user is required if
