Edit Tour

The tour is defined as a monitor or salvo tour as discussed in

Select Tour Type

. The tour type chosen dictates

the screen which will display by selecting “2” from the first Sequential Tour Pattern screen. Follow the
procedure in

Define a Monitor Tour

or

Define a Salvo Tour

.

Define a Monitor Tour

Monitor tours must be defined by specifying the video to be displayed for each step in the tour. When the
monitor tour is selected at the keypad, the tour will run on the currently selected monitor. Each step of the tour
defines the video to be displayed at a relative time in the tour. For example, step 3 is performed after step 2
and before step 4. It is not required that the total number of steps be defined. The Preset and Camera settings
define the pan-and-tilt and lens preset which the camera station will recall at each specified step. The speed
defines the relative speed at which the pan-and-tilt unit will travel to the preset position. A higher number
corresponds to a faster speed. The speed setting is only applicable for the V15UVS Omniscan, V7UVS
Surveyor and V5UVS Surveyor99. The dwell time controls the length of time in seconds for each step in the
tour. Note that the dwell time begins after the pan-and-tilt drive has reached the preset position.

Notes: Press the F2 key to insert a blank line. Press the F3 key to delete a line.

If you use preset number 80, it is important to realize that the Surveyor and Surveyor99 use preset 80 to
execute a preprogrammed tour from memory. You would not be able to edit this tour from the NOVA
V1400, but would have to return to the Surveyor or Surveyor99 programming menus.

Define a Salvo Tour

Salvo tours must be defined by specifying the salvo to be activated for each step in the tour. Each step of the
tour defines the actions to take place at a relative time in the tour. For example, step 3 is performed after step
2 and before step 4. The salvo number setting defines the salvo to activate at the specified step number. The
dwell time controls the length of time in seconds for each step in the tour. Note that the dwell time will begin
when all receivers in the salvo have reached their preset position.
