6. Check the elbow and contact system for condition.

The contact spring end should be bent inward and the insulation bushing should be free

from damage.

CAUTION:

MISALIGNMENT OF THE CONTACT DEVICE IS NOT

ALLOWED.

7. Insert the elbow contact device into the shield space. 8. Screw the elbow

union nut on the spark plug finger-tight.

9. Tighten the elbow union nuts.

NOTE: Tighten the elbow nuts with a wrench at a leverage of up to 100 mm.
