CRANKSHAFT ASSEMBLY - TROUBLE SHOOTING

For mostly often encountered troubles and their remedies refer to the Table given below.

Trouble Possible

cause Correction

Impeded rotation or
crankshaft

(1) Oil accumulated in lower
cylinders at prolonged engine dead
period or because of incomplete
depreservation

(2) Engine is underwarmed in winter

Drive out one lower spark plug from

each of cylinders Nos 4, 5, 6 and drain plugs
from intake pipes of these cylinders and plugs
of exhaust manifold, drain oil, reinstall spark
plugs and turn airscrew manually 3 to 5 turns
with ignition turned off. Make sure oil is
drained fully. Reinstall and lock plugs (Ref.
072.00.00, Task Card Mo. 201).

Warm up engine and fill 2 to 3 lit of hot oil in
crankcase
