OPERATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

CHECKED

6. Install the engine on the airplane: (1) Install the airplane braces on the

engine frame ring. (2) Bring the engine with braces to the airplane.

(3) Insert four brace-to-airplane attachment bolts having made sure they are intact,

(4) Install the washers. Screw on and. uniformly tighten the nuts;

cotterpin them.

7. Install the airscrew pitch control brackets on the engine, using the following procedure:

(1) Undo the gearbox-to-intermediate crackcase attachment nuts near the airscrew pitch

control brackets and two nuts for attachment of the R-2, series 04 speed governor.

(2) Install the airscrew pitch control brackets on the studs, place spring washers, install and

tighten the attachment nuts of the gearbox and R-2, series 04 speed governor.

NOTE: Tighten the nuts for attachment of the gearbox to the intermediate

crankcase and fastening the airscrew pitch control brackets with a

torque wrench 14-024-260 with socket 14-324-06. Tightening torque is

(1,5

+0,3

) kgf-cm.

8. Install the airplane lever on the control shaft of the R-2, series 04 speed governor to

which end:

(1) Undo the nut and remove the washer from the governor control shaft* (2) Install the

lever and washer on the governor control shaft. (3) Install and tighten the nut, lock it with

a cotter pin.

9. Connect the oil, fuel and air lines with the respective connections on the engine and lock

them.
