RECALIBRATING THE TILT SENSOR 

The tilt feature on the HMI uses an accelerometer to adjust the angle reading on the 
machine. 

OVER TIME THIS READING WILL DRIFT AND NEED TO BE 

RECALIBRATED

. 

To recalibrate the machine: 

1.  Retract the lifting legs all the way. The legs will automatically stop once 

retracted.  

Note: Recipes saved while the machine was out of calibration will show the wrong tilt 
angle. Note the value of the angle sensor before recalibrating. This is how far the angle 
sensor has drifted since the last calibration. Adjust any recently saved recipes by this 
value and resave. 

2.  Use the leveling feet to level the machine: 

Note: a high precision level is ideal for this task, but a standard level will work. Speed up 
the process by using a forklift or pallet jack to take the weight off the feet.  

 

a)  Loosen the jam nuts before adjusting the levelling feet. Retighten 

the jam nut to keep the machine levelled for the next calibration.  

3.  Once the machine is level: 

a)  Enter Engineering Mode (for details, see Engineering Mode on 

page 12). 

b)  Find the Tilt Settings, and hit the 

Calib

 button to reset the sensor 

to zero. The machine is now calibrated.
