CLEANING THE T-ZERO
To optimize the efficiency of cleaning, the T-ZERO has been designed with washdown
components. All components are stainless or chemical resistant food grade plastic. See
separate instructions for cleaning conveyors (page 38) and cyclone and ducting (page 39).
To clean the T-ZERO:
1. Lock out machine.
2. Fully disassemble the T-ZERO to gain access for cleaning.
3. Place removable components (tumbler, vacuum shrouds, vacuum bars,
brushes, and ducting) aside.
4. Clean main machine component using the Twister Cleaning Method (see
below). When cleaning main machine component:
a) Ensure all electrical cables are securely installed or
replacement caps are in place to protect the connectors from
water damage.
b) Avoid directly pressure washing the on-board electrical box
and motors. It is ok for these components to get wet, but
HIGH-PRESSURE WATER CAN DAMAGE THE SEALS.
c) Pressure wash from the top of the machine down, being
mindful of where the debris is spraying. It is possible to move
debris around the machine, adding hours to cleaning, if the
spray is not directed towards the floor.
d) Avoid allowing the blades to sit wet for extended periods of
time. Dry with compressed air and apply a food grade oil on
the contact surfaces to protect the blades during storage and
prevent rust.
Twister Cleaning Method
1. Spray metal component with Simple Green or other degreaser.
2. Let foam sit for 5-10 minutes.
3. Repeat first two steps 2-3 times to release debris.
4. Pressure wash to remove foam.
5. Dry with compressed air.
6. Spray with isopropyl alcohol.
7. Let alcohol evaporate.
Note: it is recommended to use the Twister Foam Cannon (Part# 25-0024-00, pictured above right).
