CAT® 10 Gauge, Slotted/Welded Guardrail-2

1. Assemble the (Part B) as shown above. Lap at Post 6 both CAT® 10
gauge, slotted/Welded Guardrail-2 to the outside of the CAT® Tail
Guardrail.
2. Assemble the splice at Post 6 per Step 9B. Ensure CAT® Hex Bolts
(Part MM) with the
CAT®
marking and CAT® Plate Washers (Part EE)
are used.
3. Assemble the CAT® 10 gauge, slotted/Welded Guardrail-2 at Post 4 as
shown in the
CAT® 2 Guardrail Assembly at Post 4
detail above.
4. Do not attach the CAT® 10 gauge, slotted/Welded Guardrail-2 to Posts 6
or 5.
5. Tighten all threaded hardware to a snug position with a minimum of two
(2) bolt threads protruding beyond the nut.

Use only Trinity Highway parts that
are specified herein for the CAT® for
assembling, maintaining, or repairing
the CAT®. Do not utilize or
otherwise commingle parts from
other systems even if those systems
are Trinity Highway systems.
WARNINGS
Ensure that CAT® Hex Bolts and CAT® Plate Washers are used for
the splice at Post 6. Ensure the CAT® 10 gauge, slotted/Welded
Guardrail-2 are lapped to the outside of the CAT® Tail Guardrail.
Failure to follow this warning could result in serious injury or death
in the event of a vehicle impact with the system
