CAT® Tail - Guardrail Assembly

1. Assemble all parts in the configuration and orientation as shown above.
2. Ensure the cable anchor holes of the CAT® Tail Anchor Guardrail (Part
PP) are between posts 6 and 7.
3. Ensure the CAT® Tails Guardrail (Part C) is lapped in the direction of the
adjacent traffic.
4. Ensure a Rectangular Washer (Part LL) is placed between the bolt head
(Part TT) and CAT® Tail Guardrail (Parts C and PP) at Posts 7 and 8.
5. Ensure a Rectangular Washer (Part LL) is placed between the bolt head
(Part TT) and CAT® Tail Guardrails (Parts C and PP) at Posts 7 and 8.
6. Ensure the CAT® Tail Guardrails are not attached to Post 6.
7. Tighten all threaded hardware to a snug position with a minimum of two
(2) bolt threads protruding beyond the nut.

for assembling, maintaining, or
repairing the CAT®. Do not utilize
or otherwise commingle parts from
other systems even if those
systems are Trinity Highway
systems.
WARNINGS
Ensure the Single Sided CAT® Tail is
not
used in a median application
where the opposing traffic can impact the blunt end of the CAT® Tail
Guardrail, if it is inside the Clear Zone as defined by Roadside Design
Guide (latest edition).
Ensure the cable anchor holes are between
Posts 6 and 7 and a Rectangular Washer is placed between the bolt
head and CAT® Tail Guardrails at Posts 7 and 8. Ensure the CAT®
Tail Guardrails are not attached to Post 6. Ensure the CAT® Tail
Guard is lapped in the direction of the adjacent traffic. Ensure the
