CAT® 12 Gauge, Slotted Guardrail-1 Assembly

1. Assemble the CAT® 12 gauge, slotted Guardrail-1 (Part A) as shown
above.
2. Assemble the Wood Offset Block (Part J) and CAT® 12 gauge, slotted
Guardrail-1 to Post 2. Lap both CAT® 12 gauge, slotted Guardrail-1 to
the outside of the CAT® 10 gauge, slotted/Welded Guardrail-2.
3. Assemble the splice at Post 4 per Step 10B. Ensure CAT® Hex Bolts
(Part MM) with the
CAT®
marking and Plate Washers (Part EE) are
used.
4. Tighten all threaded hardware to a snug position with a minimum of two
(2) bolt threads protruding beyond the nut.

Use only Trinity Highway parts that
are specified herein for the CAT® for
assembling, maintaining, or repairing
the CAT®. Do not utilize or
otherwise commingle parts from
other systems even if those systems
are Trinity Highway systems.
WARNINGS
Ensure that CAT® Hex Bolts and Plate Washers are used for the
splice. Ensure both of the CAT® 12 gauge, slotted Guardrail-1 are
lapped to the outside of the CAT® 10 gauge, slotted/Welded
Guardrail-2. Failure to follow this warning could result in serious
injury or death in the event of a vehicle impact with the system.
