detector reads the data from the chip and transfers the flow cell data to
Chromeleon. Closing the front door triggers an immediate flow cell
installation check.
Heat exchanger
The flow cells are equipped with a built-in heat exchanger.
The heat exchanger helps to adapt the temperature of the mobile phase
to the flow cell temperature before the mobile phase enters the optical
flow path within the flow cell. Note that the volume of the heat
exchanger and inlet capillary influences the retention times and peak
widths.
Flow Cell Types
The flow cells are optimized for highest possible light transmission and
transmission stability for the complete wavelength range of the detector
from 190 nm to 800 nm.
