Message and Code Description and Remedial Action
Code 3156 xx failed. D-alpha line not
found - check flow cell. xx = Wavelength calibration / wavelength validation
Identification of D-alpha line during calibration/validation failed.
• Repeat wavelength calibration (see Performing a Wavelength
Validation and Calibration (
}
page 122) ).
• Check the flow cell (see Checking the Flow Cell (
}
page 166) ).
• If the message still appears, check whether the UV lamp is
installed properly and whether it is turned on.
• Replace the UV lamp (see Lamps ( } page 124) ).
• If the wavelength calibration and the wavelength validation still
fail, contact Technical Support.
Code 3160 Internal process timed out. • Repeat the previous operation. When the message appears
again, turn off the module. Wait for 5 seconds and turn on the
module again.
• Upgrade the firmware, if available.
Code 3162
xx over-temperature - emergency
standby entered now. xx = Affected sensor (system or lamp house)
• Turn off the module and let it cool down.
• Check for cooling air blockage.
• Lower the environmental temperature.
Code 3198 Invalid spectral data. Check
flow cell. Invalid spectral data for absorption calculation.
• Make sure that the mobile phase does not show excessive
absorption for the selected channel wavelength(s).
• Check the flow cell (see Checking the Flow Cell ( } page 166) ).
• If the message still appears, check whether the lamps, especially
the UV lamp, are installed properly.
• Replace the lamp(s) (see Lamps ( } page 124) ).
Code 3199 Invalid auto-zero spectral
data. Check flow cell. Invalid spectral data for absorption calculation.
• Make sure that the mobile phase does not show excessive
absorption for the selected channel wavelength(s) during
autozero.
• Select a start time for autozero when the flow cell is only filled
with eluent but not with eluate.
• Check the flow cell (see Checking the Flow Cell ( } page 166) ).
• If the message still appears, check whether the lamps, especially
the UV lamp, are installed properly.
• Replace the lamp(s) (see Lamps (
}
page 124) ).
Code 3201 No or unknown xx installed. xx = Flow cell, UV/VIS (optional) lamp or diagnostic cell
No flow cell, UV/VIS (optional) lamp or diagnostic cell installed or
without ID chip. Install the mentioned component (flow cell,
diagnostic cell or lamp) with ID chip.
Code 3202 Acquisition aborted (flow cell
removed). Reinstall the flow cell or diagnostic cell. Restart data acquisition.
