Removing the Diagnostic Cell

Preparations

1. Loosen the two screws of the flow cell cover, remove the cover and

keep the cover to close the flow cell opening after this procedure.

Follow these steps

1. Carefully pull out the diagnostic cell from the opening in the device.

CAUTION—UV Radiation

The deuterium lamp emits UV radiation that is harmful to eyes and skin.

Do not look and do not reach into the flow cell opening while no flow
cell or diagnostic cell is installed and the UV lamp is turned on.

2. Store the diagnostic cell in its packaging.

If a flow cell is to be installed afterward:

Install the flow cell to the flow cell opening on the device (see

Installing a Flow Cell (

page 62)

4. Mount the flow cell cover so that the slot in the flow cell cover is

located on the bottom right (see image). Make sure that the
capillaries run through the slot in the flow cell cover.

5. Fasten the two screws of the flow cell cover hand-tight.

NOTICE

The flow cell opening on the device is sensitive to dust and debris.

If no flow cell is installed to the device, close the flow cell opening with
the cover for the flow cell opening.
