Code 3116 Data transfer error from
detector to PC – check USB connection. Check the USB connection. Use only the USB cables provided by
Thermo Fisher Scientific for the detector. Avoid CPU-intensive and
time-consuming operations on the PC during high-speed data
acquisition.
Code 3122
xx overtemperature - emergency standby

• Turn off the detector and let it cool down.
• Lower the environmental temperature.
Code 3123

The given temperature sensor signals an overheating condition.
• Wait for the acquisition to stop (max. 10 minutes).
• Turn off the detector and let it cool down.
• Lower the environmental temperature.
Code 3125 Wavelength calibration failed
– check and flush the flow cell. • Check whether the flow cell is installed properly.
• Check the flow cell (see Checking the Flow Cell ( } page 166) ).
• Flush the flow cell with pure HPLC-grade water for several
minutes with a flow rate of > 1 mL/min.
• The lamps should be running for at least 1 hour before you start
the wavelength calibration.
• Check the UV lamp: If the UV lamp was newly installed, ensure
that it is installed properly. If the UV lamp is old (counting, for
example, more than 2000 operating hours), replace the UV lamp
(see
Lamps ( } page 124) ).
• Repeat the wavelength calibration.
• If the problem persists, contact Technical Support.
Code 3126 Slit width change failed –
check flow cell. • Change the slit width.
• Check whether the flow cell is installed properly.
• Remove the flow cell and check it for transparency. If it is not
transparent, clean the flow cell (see
Preparing the Flow Cell for
Storage ( } page 132) ).
• Re-install the flow cell and try again.
Code 3127 Bad flow cell position. • Check whether the flow cell is installed properly.
• Turn off the lamps, remove the flow cell from the detector.
Check whether the pins are dirty, bent or touch each other or
the optics. If the pins are bent or touch each other or the optics,
contact Technical Support. If the pins are dirty, turn off the
detector and clean them with isopropanol and a lint-free cloth.
