3.0.7 Fan Fault
In the case of a fan fault, follow the tips below. A fan fault is not a Summary fault.

Inspect the fans.
•
The user should check the booster board voltages on the front panel dis-
play. This can be found under the system information portion of the main
menu. The voltage should read approximately 28VDC for each of the
fans in the SSPA.

If necessary, replace the fan (See
Section 3.1.4
).
3.1 Modular SSPA Architecture
The Paradise Datacom SSPA Chassis consists of a modular design, which allows for
quick and easy maintenance and replacement in the event of a catastrophic failure of
one of the SSPA components.
3.1.1 SSPA Module Removal
The Rack Mount 6RU SSPA Chassis houses two SSPA modules beneath the top cov-
er plate and two SSPA modules accessible from the base plate. The cover plate and
base plate are each held in place with 16 6-32 x 1/4” flat-head screws. Remove power
to the Rack Mount SSPA before removing these.
