•Due to the variety of user’s equipment capable of controlling the GPIB, a specific controller is not specified.

1. Check Gain Match Between NORMAL and

Save Acquisition Modes.

Recall the Initial Front-Panel Setup, labeled “FPNL"

(see step i in “INITIAL S ETU P ” at the start of this

procedure). Make the following changes to the

front-panel setup:

Connect the Calibration Generator’s STD AMPLITUDE

output to the CH 1 OR X input connector through a

Coaxial Cable. Do not use a Termination. Set the

Calibration Generator’s output level to 0.5 V and center

the displayed square wave on screen.

Select C URSO R FU N C TIO N and set VOLTS on.

Using the C URSO R/DELAY control, align the enabled

cursor (segmented) to the top of the displayed

square wave.

Press C URSO R SELECT to enable the alternate cursor

(it will change from solid to segmented). Align the

cursor to the bottom of the square wave.

Note the CURSO R VOLTS readout value.

Select STORAGE SAVE to save the display. Realign the

cursors to the saved square wave if required.

C H E C K -T h a t the C URSO R VOLTS readout value is

within 12 mV of the value noted in part f.

Disconnect the test setup.
