To check that the video inputs are
present, a subsampled version of the
video input to the encoder is available
on the input monitor. From the
summary screen press Adv, Input
Monitor.

Bit-rate – select the desired bit-
rate.

Similar menus exist for: Horizontal Res, Aspect
Ratio, GOP Structure and GOP Length.

Channel 1A, Coding Standard.

Use the PgUp and PgDn softkeys
to select from:
MPEG Layer 2

Dolby AC3

Pre-encoded AC3

NOTE…
Although
Dolby AC3
and
Pre-encoded
AC3
are selectable,
MPEG Layer 2
is
typically used in this configuration.

From the Channel 1A screen
press:
a)
Source – select the desired
audio source (options available
depend on selected coding
standard; embedded inputs are
via SDI).
NOTE…
As with the video source setup, the input monitor
can be used to check that the audio inputs are
present. These are displayed as an audio
bargraph. From the summary screen press Adv,
Input Monitor.
b)
Audio Bit-rate – select the
desired bit-rate.
c)
Coding Mode – select the
desired coding mode (options
available depend on selected
coding standard).

Channel 1B is set up in the same
manner.
