OFF-PEAK CALLS
Schedule transmission of your faxes during off-peak hours to save on call charges.
The default settings for the off-peak calls time slot (reduced telephone charges in off-peak hours) are 19:00
to 07:30. Your fax machine enables you to alter these settings and program in a different off-peak calls time
slot.
To change your fax machines off-peak calls time slot, press MENU followed by 2, 4 and 3. Enter the
requisite settings.
Press OK to confirm your entries.
TO SCHEDULE TRANSMISSION DURING OFF-PEAK HOURS
Simply press the ECO key instead of the FAX/COPY or INTERNET keys when sending a fax: the fax will
automatically be transmitted during off-peak hours.
ENERGY SAVING MODE (selected models only)
Your fax machine features a standby mode which consumes less than 2 W of power.
The unit automatically goes into standby mode after an adjustable period of inactivity.
Your fax machine activates automatically when:
- a document is loaded into the feeder, either for transmission as a fax or to run off a local copy,
- any key on the keypad is pressed,
- there is an incoming call,
- a scheduled transmission begins,
- the telephone handset or answering device connected to the stackable telephone socket is activated.
SETTING THE STANDBY DELAY
Press MENU followed by 2, 9 and 8, then press OK. Set the standby delay (default setting: 5 minutes -
other values: 15, 30 minutes) or select OFF if you do not want your fax machine to switch to standby
mode.
Should the units date and time settings be lost following a switch to standby mode, change the battery by
opening the flap located under the unit. Ensure you position the battery correctly, respecting the polarity
(the + end of the battery should be visible after you fit it in).
